Bulletin Boards up!

Hooo it's been a while! September/October has been so busy!

Our hallway bulletin board FINALLY came in (we were sad about not being able to do nice welcome boards) so I had to revamp my original idea from this summer. I was inspired by this post from Aloha Kindergarten and wanted to do a Chicka Chicka Boom Boom welcome board, but now it's October so "Welcome!" didn't really fit! The sad thing is that I had already purchased a lot of the things for my Chicka Chicka board (palm trees, fabric, borders, letters, etc) and I really wanted to use them!!

After much thought (I went back and forth about wanting to have my bulletin boards "themed" or seasonal... the thought of changing the borders/background 2/3 times a year was a bit daunting) I decided to revamp the original Chicka Chicka idea and just change the words a bit.

Here's what I came up with:

Here's the view of both boards together:

I really love how it turned out, and it'll last me all year! Thank you to my mom, who helped me put it all up!
I reused my rainbow scrapbook paper from my student work wall last year:

This year, my student pictures are mounted on die-cut O's with black coconut spots drawn on :)

I'll post more tomorrow and this weekend!! I want to talk about our visit to the Fire House!
